Abstract

United States District Judge Paul L. Friedman addressed the 2002 Annual Dinner of the D.C. Fellows of the American Bar Foundation with these heartfelt remarks about civility, professionalism, and the obligation of the Bar to respond to unfair attacks on the bench. Judge Friedman reminds us that "Judges must lead by example. We must set the proper tone of civility in the courtroom and in written opinions."
